The Afyon Wastewater Treatment Plant Project represents a modern environmental infrastructure investment designed to treat domestic and industrial wastewater using advanced treatment technologies while ensuring sustainable water resource management.

The facility has a daily treatment capacity of 840 m³ and is designed to serve an equivalent population of approximately 300,000 people. The wastewater entering the facility carries a pollution load of approximately 35,000 kg/day COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), requiring advanced treatment processes to ensure effective purification.

The treatment system includes physical treatment units and a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) process consisting of anoxic and aerobic biological treatment basins combined with cross-flow ultrafiltration technology. In addition, the facility incorporates Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technologies, including nanofiltration, evaporation, and crystallization systems, designed to eliminate liquid waste discharge and maximize water recovery.

Sludge generated during the treatment process is processed through sludge dewatering and drying systems, ensuring efficient volume reduction and environmentally safe disposal.

Through this integrated advanced treatment infrastructure, the facility provides highly efficient wastewater treatment while contributing to environmental protection, sustainable water management, and responsible resource utilization.
