Copper Belt Access Road
The Kitwe–Ndola Industrial Link Road Project was developed to strengthen heavy industrial transportation within Zambia’s Copperbelt Province, one of the country’s most significant mining and industrial regions. The project aimed to enhance transportation infrastructure connecting mining operations, industrial facilities, and key logistics corridors in the region.
Executed under a government-funded contractor agreement for the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development of Zambia, the project included the construction of a 65-kilometer reinforced concrete industrial roadway. The road was specifically engineered to withstand high-tonnage industrial transport and to support the operational needs of the copper mining industry.
Initiated in 2018 and successfully completed in 2019, the project significantly improved the transportation capacity and logistical efficiency of the Copperbelt industrial corridor.
