Mining Site Construction and Operation
The Busia Gold Mine Project represents one of the strategic mining investments of Hacıoğlu Holding in Africa. Located in Busia, Kenya, the project was developed to establish a fully operational gold mining site, including ore extraction, mineral processing, and operational management facilities.
The project was financed and developed under a fully owned private investment model, with Hacıoğlu Holding holding full ownership and operational control. The development includes an open-pit mining site, a mineral processing and enrichment facility, and supporting administrative and operational buildings, covering a total construction area of approximately 250,000 square meters.
Construction and commissioning activities began in 2011 and were successfully completed in 2012, enabling the facility to commence operations as a significant industrial mining investment within the region.
