Demirtaş Industrial Zone Wastewater Treatment Plant and Recycling Facility
The Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) Wastewater Treatment and Water Reuse Facility Project represents an advanced environmental infrastructure investment designed to treat industrial wastewater while promoting sustainable water resource management.
The facility has a daily treatment capacity of 82,500 m³ of wastewater, with 25,000 m³ per day of treated water being reclaimed and reused within the system. The incoming wastewater has an average COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) level of 1250 mg/L, reflecting the industrial nature of the influent.
The treatment process incorporates advanced mechanical, biological, and chemical treatment technologies. The system includes band screening units, grit and oil separation units, and a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system consisting of anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic biological treatment basins combined with submerged ultrafiltration technology.
Additional treatment stages include chemical treatment units for color removal, centrifugal sludge decanter drying systems, and chemical preparation and dosing stations to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Through this integrated treatment and reuse infrastructure, the project significantly improves industrial wastewater management while supporting environmental protection, sustainable water reuse, and efficient resource utilization within the industrial zone.
